Finding good interesting articles for discussion in class can be difficult. The following links are good resources for the intermediate to advanced reader. Use these resources as possible sources for your in-class discussion topics – or just reading for enjoyment.

- This website has much more than just economic information. You will find interviews with famous people, book reviews, social commentary, history, and politics.
- The New Scientist: www.newscientist.com
- A good source of daily articles on all aspects of science. Many articles about the social impact of scientific development.
- Scientific American: www.sciam.com
- Good source of articles, similar to that of the New Scientist.
- Wired Magazine: http://www.wired.com/wired/index.html
- A varied collection of technology articles, particularly how technology is influencing and shaping our lives.
- International Herald Tribune: www.iht.com
- Good news source
Magazines
- Harper’s: www.harpers.org
- The Atlantic Monthly: www.theatlantic.com
- The New Yorker: www.newyorker.com
- All are good sources for extended articles on a range of social, scientific, art, and international issues, as well as literature. The articles here range from the very short to the very long (more than 20,000 words). The writing is generally of a very high quality. Each of these sources can be accessed through the SNU library journal search engine.
